Roopali H. Desai

Roopali practices in the areas of commercial and health care litigation, employment law, election and political law. She also represents health care systems, hospitals, clinics and other institutions in investigations and claims relating to fraud and abuse. Roopali has successfully represented health care entities and other businesses in both state and federal court relating to a wide variety of actions including contract disputes, business torts, negligent credentialing and enforcement proceedings and has assisted clients with complex electronic discovery issues. She also assists clients in obtaining time-sensitive relief from the courts, including temporary and preliminary injunctive relief, expedited appeals, and special actions.

A substantial part of Roopali's election and political law practice involves representing a wide range of clients in court proceedings and advising clients on compliance with campaign finance, election, and lobbying laws. Her election law clients include local governments; candidates; political committees; independent expenditure committees; ballot measure sponsors, supporters, and opponents; corporate and membership organizations; and nonprofit organizations.
